Smother es el titulo que lleva lo que será la tercera placa de Wild Beast el cual será lanzado en este mes de mayo.
Según la banda, el álbum presenta un sonido más orientado al sintetizador, influenciado por “mudarse a Dalston”, la escritora brasileña Clarice Lispector, por el dúo noise pop; Fuck Buttons y el libro de Mary Shelley, Frankenstein.
Mike Diver dijo para BBC Music “(Wild Beasts) son, en este momento, la banda más inspiradora, intrigante, sin esfuerzo extasiado haciendo música (en Gran Bretaña). Y Smother podría llegar a ser el álbum de 2011.”
